The Well-Being Pathway compiles answers and insights from Kansans into six dimensions of well-being and displays a variety of related data indicators for each Kansas county.

For each county, the six dimensions of well-being—Health, Community, Environment, Financial, Learning & Development, and Family & Household—receive a score of either "Getting Started," "Strengthening," or "Excelling." This score on the Well-Being Scale is based on publicly available data of indicators. Learn more about the data, indicators, and methodology.
When you click on one of the six dimensions of well-being, you'll find an overall Well-Being Score for the county and a data dashboard of indicators contributing to child and family well-being. You'll also learn about example initiatives from across the state and ideas for action steps you can take to strengthen well-being in your community.
Our research focuses on six key dimensions that are vital for children's well-being: Family, Community, Environment, Health, Education, and Financial. Within each of these areas, we examine various indicators that affect children's lives.
